My research and planning...

Music is so important to me, so I was very excited to learn that this assignment includes the selection of a song. It took so long for me to pick, searching through every playlist I've curated! However, after careful consideration, I have chosen the song "Somebody That I Used To Know" by Elliott Smith.

It is currently relevant to me as I just learned the solo on guitar. Despite being put out by an artist who typically produces ballads, this song is upbeat. It provides listeners with a nostalgic feeling. The theme of nostalgia matches well with the pictures and other media I have chosen for my commercial. I've chosen to include not only recent pictures but also those from my early years that help to represent who I am today. I am always fascinated by my old baby photos.

I had to go back into my mom's "Facebook Memories" and old photo albums to find such pictures. There are so many good ones, but I tried to narrow it down to the ones I can still find "relatable." Here are a few examples:

This was my first concert when I was one. My family went on a trip to New York, and we were luckily able to obtain tickets to our favorite band at the time! This is extremely relevant to my current circumstances. I am counting down the days until I fly to New York, this year, to see a concert with my best friend.

In 2014, when I was 7 years old, I went to Art Basal in Miami with my parents. To this day, I love and appreciate art in all its forms. I've gone to countless art galleries just this year! So, this picture will help to show that love in my commercial.

I'm still making changes to the pictures I select. I'll see how it goes!
